Park Suk-bum

Secretary General of Global Compact Network Korea (GCNK)

    Mr. Park Suk-bum, the third UN Global Compact Network Korea Secretary General is in charge of enhancing businesses participation in promoting corporate citizenship and providing practical engagement measures through aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Established in 2000, the Global Compact Network Korea (GCNK) is the largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world with 166 nations and 12,250 corporate & organization participants.

    Prior to joining GCNK, Park has served as Ambassador to Iraq, Bangladesh and Korean Consulate General in Houston, USA and an adjunct professor at Far East University. In addition, he has served as a councillor to OECD Korea, EU Korea, Director of International Economic of MOFA, Associate Representative for Korea-USA FTA. Park has completed MBA in the University of Houston, USA and completed Masters in International Relations in Graduate School of International Policy in France.
