Associate Dean of Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Seoul National University
Kyung-Min Kim is an Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Seoul National University. His research covers a range of subjects, from urban development, real estate finance to social innovation. Current research projects focus on how mobile/online platform changes off-line space, especially commercial real estate. He does also comparative analysis on major Asian-Pacific office markets and retail shopping malls.
As an expert in global real estate markets, he has advised several financial institutions including Korean National Pension Service, and has been deeply involved in policy making process for the Korean Central Government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. He also serves as a chairman of social innovation committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Republic of Korea.
He is an active writer; he has published three books and a variety of newspaper serials. He is also a community activist; he has founded a social venture that works with poor neighborhoods, and has set up multiple branches in Seoul.
He received a Doctor of Design from Harvard University in 2008 and a Master of Information Management and Systems from UC Berkeley.
