Hyejin Kang leads the Organization Practice and Agile initiative at McKinsey Korea and is the Asia Leader for the Firm’s Organization Practice. She brings extensive experience in designing and implementing multi-year corporate-wide transformation programs, which include resetting group portfolio strategies, implementing governance and organizational changes, and cross-border M&A/post-merger management.
Kang is a recognized thought leader on business and social issues, particularly those relating to organization and future planning. She co-led the corporate culture improvement initiative with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was behind the influential Mega Organizational Health Index survey conducted between 2015-2016 that analyzed the organizations at 100 Korean companies.
Kang also worked for Doosan Group for five years from 2008-2013 as the Executive Managing Director leading the Strategic Planning Group in setting corporate strategy, developing corporate branding and marketing, and cross-border PMM and change management.
Kang received her MS and Ph.D in neuroscience from the California Institute of Technology. She earned her BA in microbiology at Seoul National University.
