Gay Chee Cheong

    Gay Chee Cheong is a private investor with a track record in private equity and investments. He had invested and help created billion dollar market valuation businesses. Current investments include Razer Inc, One Championship , Novena Global Lifecare, HonestBee, Memebox, WeMe and Palantir. Past investments include a number of Forbes Asia’s Best 200 Under a Billion companies: Hyflux Limited, Raffles LaSalle Limited, Best World International and Design Studio.

    In 1997, he joined JIT Electronics Pte Ltd where he initiated and listed the company on the Stock Exchange of Singapore. In 2000, he initiated and led the merger of JIT Holdings Ltd with Flextronics International valuing JIT at S$1.16 Bn.

    In 2001, he co-foundered and was the Deputy Chairman and CEO of 2G Capital Pte Ltd investing in public equities and private companies in the Asia Pacific economies. 2G Capital was awarded “Highest Net Profit” in 2006 and “Profit Excellence” in 2007 in the annual Singapore SME 500 Rankings.

    Chee Cheong graduated from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst (UK) and Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham under the Singapore Armed Forces scholarship with a B Sc (Hons) in Engineering. Subsequently, he obtained B Sc (Hons) in Economics from University of London and MBA from the National University of Singapore.
