Managing Partner of McKinsey Korea
Choi Wonsik is a Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company and is the Managing Partner of the Korean Office. Since joining the firm in 1996, Choi has built up extensive experience in helping Korean companies harness opportunities emerging from disruptive technologies, as well as advising Asian companies on cross-border M&As and post-merger integration issues.
Choi co-authored McKinsey’s Korea Report: “Beyond Korean Style – Shaping a New Growth Formula,” which was published in April 2013. He has participated in various Korean government committees including the Industrial Innovation Strategy Committee for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, providing insights on global trends in the 4th Industrial Revolution and their implications.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Choi headed up an entrepreneurial venture and worked as an engineer at Honeywell. He earned his BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, and holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
