Bark Taeho

Director of Lee&Ko Global Commerce Institute (GCI)

    Taeho BARK is currently President of Lee&Ko Global Commerce Institute and Professor Emeritus (Professor and former Dean) of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Seoul National University. He served as Minister for Trade of Korea (2011-2013) and Ambassador-at-Large for International Economy and Trade (2013-2014). He also served as Chairman of the Korea International Trade Commission.

    Prior to this, he taught at Georgetown University, worked as a senior research fellow of the KDI, served as the Vice President of the KIEP, and served as the Chair of the Investment Expert Group of the APEC (2000-2002). He was a visiting professor at Stanford University and Sciences Po, and a visiting scholar at the IMF and the World Bank. He also worked on the international commerce issues as a senior economist in the Office of the President.

    He graduated from Seoul National University and he obtained a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
