Airlangga Hartarto

Minister of Industry, Republic of Indonesia

    Airlangga Hartarto is a 28th Minister of Industry, Republic of Indonesia, replacing Saleh Husin on the 2nd phase of Jokowi Work Cabinet reshuffle. He was born as a politician son. His father was a former of Minister of Industry from 1983 to 1993 and Minister of Production and Distribution Coordinating from 1993 to 1998.

    His politic career began when he was chosen as Vice Treasure at Central Leader Council of Golongan Karya Party period of 2004 – 2009. Then he became a Member of Parliament in the period of 2009 – 2014.

    Mr. Hartarto is a Board Member-Engineers at The Institution of Engineers Indonesia, President Commissioner at PT Fajar Surya Tbk Wisesa, Secretary General at ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization, and President Director at PT Garama Dhananjaya. He was previously employed as Chairman by Emiten Asosiasi Indonesia and PT Sorini Agro Commissioner (formerly, Sorini Corp. tbk PT) by Asia Corporindo Tbk.
